Our family meeting went well. The words came, then Comedian narrated, rationalizing the choice in her own 4-year-old-everything-makes-sense-because -I-said-it way. Bear crumbled - just as we knew she would.
The next morning was a little harder than I thought. Bear managed to rally for this picture. And, YES that is the makeshift chicken coop that Jer built when they hatched on New Years Day. Thank you for noticing - means you've been reading my various blogs a while! What - It isn't supposed to double as a makeshift cat carrier?? Oh, sorry...
The humane society ladies were wonderful. They even tolerated a crazy lady weilding a camera like a wedding photographer determined NOT to miss any part of the day!
And, just to keep the 'where did my family go' drama in high gear, tomorrow we drop off Sally-mama to be spayed. Poor little Butterscotch will have to go a whole night without her.
FUN CAT FACT: Did you know that the requirements for neutering boys are, reached 3 pounds and their testicles have descended?
(HA! Google that!)
UPDATED TO ADD: Butterscotch's you-know-whats are good and ready but at a weight of 2.7 pounds he'll have to weight for the neutering process to commence. Also, he did quite well while Sally-Mama had her sleepover at the vets, if you consider 'well' to mean he cried until one of us stayed downstairs with him so he could sleep on our chest. *awwwww*
