WELCOME TO MY "OTHER" BLOG!

If you are coming from Building Heavenly Bridges (BHB), WELCOME and if you are finding me for the first time and looking for support after a loss, then please check me out at my grief/loss blog!

This blog is a series of anecdotes from our life after losing our first child, a stillborn daughter, then going on to birth the two other lights of our lives!

Bear is 6: serious, organized, my cruise director and my time keeper.

The Comedian is 4: She is pure comedy always doing something unintentionaly funny that I attempt to put into words.

Enjoy our stories, conversations, and delights as we embrace the lives of our second and third daughters without ever negating our first.

Show and Tell: A Recycled, Updated Post! "Leave with Five - Come Back With Two"

UPDATED: Due to lack of time, a Sunday School lesson to plan for a sub, 13 pages of prep reading to do for my interpreting job tomorrow, and two other rather labor intensive show and tells...I present a recycled post!

Our family meeting went well. The words came, then Comedian narrated, rationalizing the choice in her own 4-year-old-everything-makes-sense-because -I-said-it way. Bear crumbled - just as we knew she would.

The next morning was a little harder than I thought. Bear managed to rally for this picture. And, YES that is the makeshift chicken coop that Jer built when they hatched on New Years Day. Thank you for noticing - means you've been reading my various blogs a while! What - It isn't supposed to double as a makeshift cat carrier?? Oh, sorry...

The humane society ladies were wonderful. They even tolerated a crazy lady weilding a camera like a wedding photographer determined NOT to miss any part of the day!

Butterscotch seems very happy back home with us even if he is a bit lonely and acting stressed, like a recently weaned toddler, trying to convince Sally to let him nurse again. She having none of it!

And, just to keep the 'where did my family go' drama in high gear, tomorrow we drop off Sally-mama to be spayed. Poor little Butterscotch will have to go a whole night without her.

FUN CAT FACT: Did you know that the requirements for neutering boys are, reached 3 pounds and their testicles have descended?

(HA! Google that!)
UPDATED TO ADD: Butterscotch's you-know-whats are good and ready but at a weight of 2.7 pounds he'll have to weight for the neutering process to commence. Also, he did quite well while Sally-Mama had her sleepover at the vets, if you consider 'well' to mean he cried until one of us stayed downstairs with him so he could sleep on our chest. *awwwww*

If Butterscotch knew what was coming, he might go on a hunger strike.

How does the Comedian come up with those fabulous quotes!? So great that you capture them.

I'm glad it wasn't a total melt down. Butterscotch is such a cutie and I'm glad Sally Mama did ok.

Butterscotch looks like he's winking at you, as if to say, "Ha! You can't neuter me!"

Little does he know, time is not on his side.
