What we DIDN'T have was...POWER! Thanks to the ice storm that beat up the North East we were blessed with a snowday to get caught up with our holiday prep! The cookie dough sat patiently until the power returned. We have now eaten more than our fair share and frozen the rest.
Oh - in case you were wondering. Bear is making good old fashioned Choc. Chippers and the small balls are a family recipe: Italian Anise Cookies. They look like this when baked and decorated.
Happy Baking and Eating! And - if you are looking for a good way to walk off some of those calories...try hauling your Christmas tree home, red-wagon style! (he-he)What are you show and telling?

And now...I'm hungry! Those look delicious.
Mouth.totally.watering.
Those look de-lish!
Oh my do those look yummy. The Italian Anise cookies sound delish!
You have so many cookie sheets! I have a few but only a couple double-layered pans that give the best results, so I have to wait to scoop them out until each previous batch is done. Maybe if I had a cute little assistant I'd enjoy the scooping process more!
Wow - that's a whole lot of cookies. Looks like you guys had fun.
Oh, wow! Yummy. I love cookies...
Wow, that's a lot of cookies. I have only tiny pans that fit one dozen only if you squish them together and seperate them right after they come out of the oven. I think it's time I did a little bakeware shopping. :)-
Oh YUM! Any way I could get the recipe for the Anise cookies if you have time?

Hmmm - you ladies are right. I DO have a lot of cookie sheets. I wonder how that happened.
I'm happy to email the Anise cookie recipe. Murgdan - look for it today.
those cookies look just delish!! I am glad to hear that the dough survived quite well!!
Carabella, this looks delicious! Molto Grazie!
Those look scrumptious! What do the Italian Anise cookies taste like?
Mrs Spock - anise has a mild licorice flavor. It is counter balanced by an equal amount of Vanilla.
mmmm!
No I didn't get anything for me in FL. It's always harder to shop for myself.
Yummmm. Cookies.
Had to come back for another look at the cookies!
BTW, thanks for the comment on my blog - you said it's a good thing we're not on the witness stand. Funny thing...I do find myself on the witness stand occasionally (I work in a crime lab). Apparently, I can only see things through a magnifier. Except cookies. I can see those anywhere!
Ummmm....how about outsourcing the tree-carting?
Wow. Those cookies look great!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
