WELCOME TO MY "OTHER" BLOG!

If you are coming from Building Heavenly Bridges (BHB), WELCOME and if you are finding me for the first time and looking for support after a loss, then please check me out at my grief/loss blog!

This blog is a series of anecdotes from our life after losing our first child, a stillborn daughter, then going on to birth the two other lights of our lives!

Bear is 6: serious, organized, my cruise director and my time keeper.

The Comedian is 4: She is pure comedy always doing something unintentionaly funny that I attempt to put into words.

Enjoy our stories, conversations, and delights as we embrace the lives of our second and third daughters without ever negating our first.

Show and Tell - Bike Baskets

Did you have one? I remember my first bike mainly for the totally girly and fabulous bike basket attached to the handlebars.

Well, now-a-days - it seems that they look the same, but are really make with plastic mesh type stuff and that was not a-happening for my girls!
EXHIBIT A - Plastic meshy one from e.bay!

SO - Faithful Nana and Papa went a hunting for the real deal! You know the kind that is acutally woven, hopefully with someone's hands!

EXHIBIT B - The REAL DEAL! Can you see the difference??

Oh Yeah - we are rocking the transport stones, sticks and ball scene now with our totally awesome and authentic bike baskets! Even if we are riding our bikes with flip flops on... *ahem*

Thanks Nana and Papa! You Rock!

I had no idea they still made bike baskets! I had the most awesome purple bike with a purple and pink flowered banana seat and a huge white basket with purple flowers covering it.

Oh those were the days!

Your new and improved basket is very nice indeed!

That is so cool! I remember mine, and you're right. No plastic molded thingy will do.

Now I want to find one for Tessa.

I love the Quote above this post -- she's a clever one!

No basket for me but I did have this zippered nylon bag on the front of mine. Very useful the day we came across a juvenile crow who couldn't fly and had fallen out of the tree. Mom was SO happy when I brought him home on my bike. ;)

Great basket. We also had the no flip-flop rule.
